Article Processing Charges (APC)
Insolvation follows a transparent publication-cost policy for accepted manuscripts.
Current APC Position
No Article Processing Charge is currently being applied and articles are being published without APC until further notice.
For transparency, the journal still maintains its reference APC framework below for future policy use if the charging position changes after formal journal notice.
What APC Supports
- Editorial processing and manuscript management
- Double-blind peer review administration
- Copy-editing, production formatting, and metadata quality
- Online publication hosting and indexing readiness
- Long-term accessibility and archiving support
Important Notes
- Submission and peer-review decisions are independent of payment.
- No author is asked for payment to influence editorial outcome.
- Any applicable fee communication is issued only through official journal channels.

Waivers & Discounts
Insolvation considers waiver or discount requests—especially for authors from low- and lower-middle-income economies (per World Bank list)—if APC charging is activated in the future.
Requests should be made at submission (not after acceptance) with a short justification.
Any waiver or discount decision does not influence editorial evaluation, peer review, or publication merit decisions.
See Waiver Policy.
Who is invoiced & payment
- By default the corresponding author is invoiced; a funder or institutional payer may be identified at submission.
- India would be invoiced in INR; outside India would be invoiced in USD. Any currency conversions shown are indicative; bank, processing, and FX charges are borne by the payer.
Taxes
Where APC charging is active, taxes are handled in accordance with applicable law.
Refund & Billing Corrections
- Journal-caused withdrawal before publication: full APC refund where payment has been taken.
- Post-publication corrections or retractions: handled under editorial policy; APCs are not refunded except where the journal is at fault.
- Billing errors (for example, duplicate payment): corrected or refunded promptly upon proof of payment.
